The accepted paper, titled “Impact of AI-Avatar Based Digital Patient Engagement on Treatment Understanding, Empowerment and Stress for HNSCC in a US Community Radiation Oncology Practice,” highlights innovative work at the intersection of artificial intelligence and patient-centered care. The study explores how AI-powered avatar technology can enhance patient understanding, reduce anxiety, and improve overall engagement during treatment for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC).

The research, co-authored by 5thPort’s Co-Founder Navroze Eduljee, will be presented by Adam Raben, MD, as part of the “Proffered Papers 26 – Patient Education” session on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
